L-S Students Compete for 2024 West Lampeter Community Fair Queen Title
One of these 14 LSHS students will be crowned queen at the 100th Annual West Lampeter Community Fair. Find out who at the Fair Queen Contest on Sunday, 9/22, at 7 p.m.

Fourteen Lampeter-Strasburg High School students are in the running for Queen at the 100th Annual West Lampeter Community Fair. Due to the Fair’s week-long centennial celebration, the traditional event and schedule will be changed.

The Fair Queen contest will be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 22, in the show ring.

The Fair Queen will kick off from the high school at 6:15 p.m. and travel west on Village Road to the fairgrounds. Previous fair queens have been invited to be a part of this year’s parade.

Fireworks will close the fair on the evening of the contest. Fireworks are set to begin at 8:30 p.m.
The Fair Queen will preside over this year’s fair, attending daily events and greeting community members. The queen will also participate in the PA Fair Queen State Competition, held in Hershey in conjunction with the Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs (PSACF) in January 2025.
The West Lampeter Community Fair Queen Contest has been a highlight of fair week since 1958. The reigning Fair Queen is 2024 graduate Sarah Blount, and the Fair Queen Alternate is 2024 graduate Sydney Albright. The West Lampeter Community Fair has produced two state fair queens, one runner-up, and two top-five state finalists through the years. Fair Queen Candidates
Kaitlin Churchill is a senior and the daughter of Jackie Churchill of Lancaster and Eric Gardner. She is representing the Mock Trial Club. Kaitlin will be escorted by senior Harper Swiatek, son of Rebecca Hawkes of Willow Street.
Remy Colosi is a junior and the daughter of Michael and Heather Colosi of Lancaster. She is representing the L-S Band Program. Remy will be escorted by junior Tobias Weaver, son of Erin and Kent Weaver of Strasburg.
Logan Crandall is a senior and the daughter of Rob and Suzette Crandall of Lancaster. She is representing the STEM Club. Logan will be escorted by senior Alexander Weese, son of Chris and Lauren Weese of Lancaster.
Laela Gipe is a senior and the daughter of Shawn and Allyson Gipe of Lancaster. She is representing the Scrubs Club. Laela will be escorted by sophomore Brady Christensen, son of Wendell and Courtney Christensen of Lancaster.
Gabbi Graver is a senior and the daughter of Tiera and Dustin Graver of Lancaster. She is representing the Interact Club. Gabbi will be escorted by senior Connor Hess, son of Steven and Kiersten Hess of Lancaster.
Ava Immel is a senior and the daughter of Doug and Angela Immel of Strasburg. She is representing the Garden Spot FFA Chapter. Ava will be escorted by junior Jack Ross, son of Jeri and Molly Ross of Willow Street.
Anna Reed is a senior and the daughter of Chris and Raun Reed of Strasburg. She is representing the Pioneer Page Turners Club. Anna will be escorted by senior James Appelgrijn, son of Rhiannon and Coenraad Appelgrijn of Strasburg.
Drea Rice is a senior and the daughter of Chris and Amy Rice of Lancaster. She is representing the LSHS National Honor Society. Drea will be escorted by senior Carson Zook, son of Randy and Lori Zook of Willow Street.
Annaliese Sauve is a senior and the daughter of Paul and Kristin Sauve of Lancaster. She is representing the L-S Model UN Club. Annaliese will be escorted by junior Shrey Singh, son of Rashi and Harjit Singh of Lancaster.
Keira Smecker is a senior and the daughter of Meghan and Jeff Smecker of Lancaster. She is representing the Ski and Snowboard Club. Keira will be escorted by junior Michael Colosi, son of Michael and Heather Colosi of Lancaster.
Chloe Stone is a senior and the daughter of Jennifer and Stephen Stone of Lancaster. She is representing the Varsity Club. Chloe will be escorted by junior Noah Cooper, son of Robert and Jennifer Cooper of Willow Street.
Savannah Weber is a senior and the daughter of Adam and Beth Weber of Lancaster. She is representing the Fellowship of Christian Students. Savannah will be escorted by junior Jacob Herr, son of Jeff and Ruth Herr of Strasburg
