Early Pick Up Procedures
-
When a child is being picked up early, the child must supply a parent note containing the child’s first and last name, the teacher’s name and a signature. Notes may be sent into school with students, but we are encouraging electronic communication via email whenever possible. Parents are encouraged to write a note with an original signature, take a picture of the note, and email it to the main office. The only notes that will be accepted via email will be those that contain photos or scans with original signatures. Please send to HH-attendance@l-spioneers.org
-
Please submit notes as early as possible, and the cut off time for all end of day transportation changes is 2:00 p.m.
Releasing Students From School
-
A child will only be released to persons on the Student Release Form and/or with appropriate written notification, from the parent, including the child's name, teacher, and time of release. Adults picking up students should be prepared to show identification.
-
If permission is being requested for a child to be picked up by another parent from school, a note of approval is required from the requesting parent. Please include your child’s first and last name, his / her teacher’s name, and your signature. Each student requesting a parent pick-up will be required to meet his / her parent at the Car Rider Pick Up Area. The parent picking up should have car tags for both students.
-
Prior to 3:10 p.m. and after 3:45 p.m. - Parents must sign out and pick up students at the main office.
-
Between 3:10 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. - Parents must sign out and pick up students at the lower gym lobby.

Car Rider Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures
Car Rider Drop-Off Procedures
-
Car Rider Drop Off is from 8:50 -9:05 a.m. at the lower gym lobby entrance.
-
Please park in the varsity baseball lot if you are arriving before 8:50 a.m. This helps keep the line of traffic from forming early. A staff member will escort students across the road and safely into HH at 8:50 a.m. Please be sure to wait until you see a staff member before allowing your child to exit your vehicle.
-
If you arrive at 8:50 a.m. or after, you may pull into the drop-off loop. Please be sure to pull up as far as you can before allowing your child to exit the vehicle. We recommend having your child sit on the side they will be exiting to help keep the line moving efficiently! If you are arriving after 9:05 a.m. you will need to bring your child to the office and sign them in.
Car Rider Pick-Up Procedures
-
Car Rider Pick Up is at the lower gym lobby entrance.
-
Each family receives three car rider tags that will match a corresponding student tag.
-
Please display your car rider tag on your mirror and remain in your vehicle. If you are walking or parking at another location, please walk to the drop-off area and show your tag.
-
Please do not enter the HH Loop before your scheduled pick-up time.
-
Car Riders will be dismissed in two phases according to last names as follows:
-
A-M will be dismissed at 3:30 p.m.
-
N-Z will be dismissed at 3:34 p.m.
-
If you are picking your child up as a walker, you will need to pick him or her up in front of the doors at the lower gym lobby. Please do not stand at a distance and wave to your child. Please show your car tag to an HH staff member who will then release your child to you
Early Dismissals
Delays and Closings
Winter weather can result in cancellations or late starts to school. Because these problems can create inequities in class time, we have adopted a modified kindergarten schedule for days when there must be delayed starts. Schedules on days with delays are as follows:
One hour delay - start time 10:15 a.m.
Two-hour delay - start time 11:15 a.m.
